My name is Hamish Steele (he/they). I’m a London-based Animatioin Director, Comic-Book Creator and TV Writer.
Soon after graduating from Kingston University, I directed Dead End, a short for Frederator Studio's Cartoon Hangover. This lead to me directing two films for Nickelodeon's International Shorts program, the second of which I collaborated on with Blink Industries who now represent me.
In 2014, I self-published my first graphic novel Pantheon thanks to Kickstarter. Since then, it has been republished by Nobrow Press. That year, I also began adapting my Dead End short into the webcomic DeadEndia. DeadEndia was adapted back into animation in 2022, in Netflix’s Dead End: Paranormal Park, which I showran.
DeadEndia then got republished in new editions by Union Square & Co with the third and final book DeadEndia: The Divine Order coming out in 2024.
Between these projects, I also self-published several comics including Croc and Roll and developed shows for the BBC, Disney and Nickelodeon.
I am currently available for freelance writing jobs for tv, film and comics.
